Kate Filloramo

Kate first came thru Pennfield’s door as a substitute teacher in 2018 marking her return to teaching after taking time to raise her four children. Throughout that year, Kate saw how special and unique the Pennfield community was and taught several weeks of cooking classes over that summer. Kate and family spent several years abroad and upon returning to Rhode Island, Kate co-taught second grade at an independent school in Providence and finally made her way back to Pennfield as a substitute and classroom support in the fifth grade before landing in third grade.

In the years that Kate was home raising her children, she spent many of them traveling about the world with her family and pursuing several creative passions. She is a Master Gardner and published food writer, marrying her love for cooking and collaborating with other creative individuals.

Outside of the classroom, you can find Kate enjoying quiet moments with a book and a good cup of coffee, spending time with her family or at the hockey rink, cheering on her kids as well as playing on a local women’s league.
