Charting Our Course: Pennfield’s Strategic Plan

By August 2, 2024November 3rd, 2024News

In Fall 2023, a Strategic Plan Committee, representative of Pennfield constituents and community members, was formed and began combing through survey reports and demographic models, digesting focus group findings, and reading interview notes. In December of 2023 they made their recommendations to the Board of Trustees on the direction and navigation of future initiatives and focus areas over the next three years.  Charting Our Course was approved by the Board of Trustees in January 2024 and will be our roadmap to guide our institution toward a future defined by tradition, innovation, and an unwavering commitment to our students’ success.

Four Major Initiatives

Invest in our curriculum and structure our programs to serve the needs of our students today and in the future.

Our essential goal is to provide every student with a rich academic experience that inspires and supports them to learn confidently through a rigorous curriculum, signature programs, and the opportunities to experience the school’s values in everyday life. We must continue to improve our curriculum and make certain that the curriculum is dynamic, forward-thinking, and consistent with research- proven and nationally recognized best practices.

Invest in our people.

The School’s faculty/staff is its lifeblood. The School must take all possible actions to recruit and retain deeply talented, inspiring, and passionate professionals who live and embrace the school’s mission.

Build a robust, adequately staffed, data-driven, best practices Advancement Office.

A strong and effective advancement operation is critical for Pennfield to sustain and increase institutional health and vitality. Professionals in educational advancement—recruitment, fundraising, alumni relations, marketing and communications, and advancement services—are integral to the school’s future needs and opportunities.

Leverage our campus for the greatest use towards our mission while ensuring the stability of our school’s home for the future.

Pennfield enjoys a picturesque campus with lots of room for outside academic programming, enrichment, and co-curricular activities. In addition, Pennfield can offer a number of opportunities for campus use to build community relations, campus rentals, and for ancillary revenue programs.
